Simulation is oft used to provide insight into a complicated real life replenishment process. Simulations can take months to set up, but only provide insight into a few narrow research questions. How can we wring more value out of our simulations? Sometimes models of varying complexity must be created to ladder up (or down) the output level of detail. How should one wrangle the simulation outputs to connect the sims? I will share a few techniques borrowed from from Applied Mathematics to ground simulation research.
